Description

Railway radio system TRS complies with the requirements UIC 751-3 and extends functional features as per requirements of Czech Railway Authorities. System composes of base radiostations located along the railroad that are connected via four-wire cable to the ribbon network. System ensures wireless connection between mobile means (especially locomotives) and operators positions (dispatcher or railway station guard). System enables branching of the ribbon network and simultaneously also combination of operator positions in railway stations in one position. System operates in band 450 MHz in duplex mode with possibilities of data transmission in both directions. Additionally open simplex network in band 150 MHz could be used for operating communication in railway station (shunting etc.)

Features

  • Duplex connection dispatcher – engine driver: voice, command and report transmission, selective and general call.
  • Duplex connection station guard – engine driver: voice, command and report transmission, selective and general call. Base radiostation is temporary earmarked during connection time from ribbon network.
  • Identification of mobile subscriber in system as per train number.
  • Semi-duplex connection among engine drivers by means of retranslation in the range of base radio station.
  • Selective and general STOP function: remote stopping of the trains on the rail route from dispatcher position by means of radio signal and from station guard position within range of temporary earmarked base radio station.
  • Automatic diagnostics of ribbon network and base radio stations.
  • Data and voice recording of the operation of the system.
  • Data and voice playback on evaluation device.

Main blocks of the system

  • Infrastructure parts of the system
    • Base radio station ZR47
      • unattended radio station contains radio part, control and loop circuits and power supply 230 V AC
    • Control block ZL47
      • logic unit for control of dispatcher position and of position of station guard. Device  includes control circuits and power supply 230 V AC
    • Control unit ZO47
      • control unit ensures voice and telegram connection of the subscriber on the position of dispatcher and station guard
    • Switching block of control unit PBZO47
      • switching block for connection of control of the TRS system into the multi-application terminal
    • Railway branch block ZX47
      • Unattended device intended for branching into more lines. Block contents power supply 230 V AC.
    • Guard`s link switchboard ZV47
      • Device with switching units intended for control of neighbour base radio station ZR47.
    • Directional base radio station SR47
      • Unattended radio station in band 420 MHz consist of radio part, control circuits and power supply unit 230 V AC. Device is intended for possible substitution of cable interconnection of base radio station ZR47.
    • Recording and Evaluating device XX47
      • Device ensures reproduction of recorded events (telegrams of the system and voice connection) by means of replay mode

  • Base Antennas for band 450 MHz mentioned in T-CZ product list

    • Vehicle radio station with possibilities of full-featured communication as per UIC 751-3 and OSŽD 875/1 (for example CAB radio station VS67)
